It's been a tough couple of weeks for these seniors. Life is so odd for all of us right now but I'm extremely proud of all of these wonderful ladies. Part of being a rep means having me in your corner; this "girl gang" that we've created has served as a place where these girls can laugh, mourn, celebrate and grow together. I don't think any of us could have imagined how this school year would go but I am extremely thankful that we have each other on the best days and the hardest.
These are photos from our "Spooky Shoot" this past fall. The girls came up with the theme and together we created our ideas for hair, make up and wardrobe. I love that the girls used their creativity and talents to help one another prepare for this shoot. We gathered at my house to get ready then headed to our location and shot for a couple hours. The girls knocked this one out of the park and I really just can't wait until we can all get together again. I love my seniors and I hope you love the creativity that they put into this shoot.

These cooler spring days have me ready for the warmth of late summer. Sunflower fields, bright colors and happy faces. It feels like it's forever away but I know it's coming, and I can't wait.
Chloe was one of the first Senior Representative that I shot with last summer and she told me there was one thing she absolutely wanted: SUNFLOWERS. Finding sunflowers was a challenge but once we did we had the most beautiful day and experience. We finished the day off playing with some smoke bomb pictures which are always fun to create and experiment with! I can't wait for more experiences like this VERY soon. Come on summer! When I started putting this blog together my intent was just to showcase a really beautiful and different session that I had the opportunity to be a part of but then I realized that the timing of this post could not be more perfect. So if you are a bride, groom or if you know an engaged couple whose wedding has been put on hold due to COVID-19 - this is for you!
Brandon and Hannah were married in May of 2019 and while they did get to celebrate their wedding day, what they received from their wedding photographer was not what they had hoped for to say the least. I'm talking VERY few portraits of the two of them together and the fact that it rained their ENTIRE wedding day made things less than ideal in a lot of aspects anyway. Hannah reached out to me and told me that they had been back and forth on it but decided that they wanted a re-do of their bridal portraits! Since they both had purchased their wedding attire it was easy to make this session happen (their wonderful florist even remade the wedding bouquet for this shoot!) and, guys, WE HAD THE BEST DAY TO DO IT. We took photos of them as a couple, individual portraits, as well as all of the bridal details that they had on their wedding day. Brandon's family was even able to come along to take some family portraits that were missed on their wedding day. The weather was PERFECT, they both looked amazing and we got to have all the fun of a bridal portrait shoot with none of the stress and pressure of a wedding day. 10/10 would recommend. **If you are a bride whose wedding day has been affected by COVID-19, I would love to do a session like this with you once everything passes. Brandon and Hannah went from having a few photos of them together on their wedding day to almost 400 photos from our two hour shoot. These memories are SO worth the effort! If you need convincing just ask these two.** Gabriella is one of my fantastic senior representatives this year. I've known Gabby for years, I had the privilege of having her in youth group and our friendship grew from there. She loves music, has a style that is all her own (AND IT'S AMAZING) and she cares so deeply about people. When she messaged me wanting to be a senior representative I knew that she would be a perfect representative for Kelli Cornelia Photography. She is all the good things and I love working with her. These are just some of the photos from her first senior session (I returned 215 to her because it was so hard to pick favorites but I did my best). I'll be posting from her other sessions also very soon but for now here's Gabby's summer senior session inspired by the things that Gabby loves most!
